Camp Dogwood – Wisconsin-style
Camp Dogwood – Wisconsin-style
For the past several years, I’ve been going to Camp Dogwood in the spring, fall and occasional winter camp. I teach a couple of sessions and offer short 20 minute animal communication sessions to the attending campers.
This year, Camp Dogwood moved locations to Lake Delton Wisconsin. This camp area is more like a resort that a camp. Nice air-conditioned rooms with private baths and full kitchens. They provide you with bed linens, towels and travel toiletries. The class areas are clean, modern and perfect for dogs and people.
Right off the main drag of Lake Delton, you make a turn on an unmarked road, twist around remote, gravel roads and then you’re there! Beautiful setting for Camp Dogwood!
Fleck is my Camp dog since he loves everyone and really enjoys swimming.
Here are a few shots from our first day at Camp.
At the beach ! Great day for a swim, or two, or three!
Swimming!!!
Geez, Fleck is skinny when soaking wet!
Ok! Time for a cat nap after all that swimming!
Tomorrow, more of the same except I give my session “Essential Oils for the Canine.” Glad I have my magic mixture for fleas & ticks.
In between private sessions and the class, Fleck and I will frequent the lake so he can satisfy his other obsession, swimming!
So far, the new site for Camp Dogwood is beautiful, secluded but not remote and very modern.
I only wish my Meg dog was still around. A group from Camp will be going of a Wisconsin Duck Tour (amphibian water/land tour, not actual ducks) and you can take your dogs with you. She would have loved that!
